Breidablikk Gjestegård
Breidablikk Gjestegård was established in 1931, and has long traditions that we try to maintain.
We have restored large parts of the buildings to reflect the history and traditions of the hotel. Our cuisine is also based on the traditions of the area, and we use natural ingredients provided by local suppliers. The area surrounding the hotel is unique, with a fantastic landscape that bears evidence of the ice age and the Viking era.

All rooms have been refurbished during 2003/4, and they are charming and comfortable, with light colours inspired by southern Norway and the sea. The rooms are of different sizes, and are furnished with birch wood furniture from Hovden and comfortable beds with mattresses from Ekornes, leading Norwegian suppliers of quality furnishings. All rooms are equipped with fridge and TV sets with ceefax.

We employ only the best chefs who have the knowledge and experience required to ensure that our cuisine is to your satisfaction. Their ambition is to create meals that make the experience an occasion to remember, focusing on the total experience of taste, visual appearance and atmosphere.For breakfast you can enjoy the varied selection of our Scandinavian buffet.
After an inspiring day, you can enjoy lunch or an exquisite dinner accompanied by drinks of your choice in the restaurant or the conservatory.
Our cuisine is based on the best Norwegian traditions, often inspired by international cuisine and of course by the finest seafood offered in the area.

The hotel offers facilities for courses and conferences in a relaxed atmosphere. Our conference rooms are suitable for up to 80 participants. Facilities include wireless Internet, laptops, projectors and wide screen with surround sound etc.For large conferences the entire hotel can be reserved and various activities can be arranged. Tromøy, Arendal The hotel is situated about 10 kilometres from Arendal town centre, in idyllic surroundings only about 250 metres from Spornes beach. By car: From the E18 follow signs to Arendal and Tromøy. After crossing the Tromøy bridge, follow signs to Hove and Breidablikk. By train: Go by train to Arendal railway station, from where the number 3 bus will take you to Sandum. Alternatively, you can call the hotel and ask us to arrange your transport to Breidablikk.
